The Alchemist

I have finished reading another fiction and it’s different from any other novels I have read. While most novels are written for an entertainment or thrilling purpose, “The Alchemist” was written to give the reader wisdom and insights to go after the life they are destined to live.

The book was easy to understand, maybe because the translator used simple English to give exact expression the original author had given. It’s about young dreamer on his adventure to fulfill his destiny. His journey tells us that, with passion and determination, the life of our dreams can be turned into reality.

The book starts with an introduction from the author and that alone gives inspirations. Success is not coincidence, there are secrets to achieve success and the author shares it. It’s no wonder The Alchemist is one of the book that have changed millions of life for lifetime.

Certain parts of the story does not make sense but overall, it have good messages and wisdom to everyone that have something they always wanted to be or have and yet, they still have not yet moved any closer towards it.

When you want something, all the Universe conspires in helping you to achieve it. – Paulo Coelho

What’s the world’s greatest lie? It is this: that at a certain point of our lives, we lose control of what’s happening to us, and our lifes become controlled by fate. That’s the world’s greatest lie. – Paulo Coelho

That was what made traveling appeal to him – he always made new friends, and he didn’t need to spend all of his time with them. When someone sees the same people every day, as had happened with him at the seminary, they wind up becoming a part of that persons life. And then they want the person to change. If someone isn’t what others want them to be, the others become angry. Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should lead their lives, but none about his or her own. – Paulo Coelho
